Practice Equipment –

Fins, goggles, hand paddles (senior swimmers only) and old sneakers to wear in the water (senior swimmers only)

Fins –

Floating fins are recommended for our younger swimmers and may be found at various online retailers. There are some “back-up” fins at the Londonderry pool that may be used to figure out size but each swimmer is required to purchase their own fins.

Goggles –

Goggles are required for practice and competition. They may be found at various online retailers as well as local sporting goods stores. They range in size, shape and color. It may take a little time to find the right fit but you will want to look for ones that stay on when the swimmer dives in the pool and do not leak. It is recommended that swimmers have at least two pairs of goggles.

Hand Paddles –

Please see a senior coach for sizing and information on purchasing the correct hand paddles.

Practice suits –

Each swimmer should have at least 1 practice suit. A practice suit is a 1-piece suit. Please note: two-piece suits are not allowed for practice or swim meets. Practice suits for boys are typically jammers. You may find practice suits at various online swim stores, from vendors at various USA meets and at local sports stores.

Team Suit (boys and girls) and Team swim cap for competition (girls) –

A team suit is required for both female and male swimmers during competition. We offer 4 choices for team suits. Below is a link to the girl’s suits and the boy’s jammers may be found by searching on the suit name. In addition, female swimmers are required to wear the team swim cap in competition. If male swimmers choose to wear a swim cap in competition it must be a RAYS cap. Any cap may be worn during practice.

Recognizing that we have a wide range of swimmers, we are offering four new suit preferences with Speedo as the top choice. Every swimmer will be required to select 1 of the 4 suits and it must be worn to any meets attended.   The styles are different to accommodate body types, and family budgets.

Swim bag –

A bag that is waterproof and can hold all your swimmers gear for practice or meets.

Towels –

Several towels are recommended for a meet while one should be enough for practice.
